First off, I want to thank all of you that have reached out and said such nice things to me. It means the world to me to hear that the stuff I've made has been enjoyed by so many. Taking the time to send me a message is always appreciated. Also, thank you to everyone that has been commissioning stories from me, you have no idea how helpful you have been.
I have a question for everyone.
Can you guess who has access to an old laptop that has an equally old copy of Photoshop on it?
That's right!
It runs very slow and the program crashes a lot. That said, it is functional enough to use it for what I need it for. I do have to temper my excitement with the understanding that the lifespan of this laptop is probably pretty low but I'll take the good news where I can.
In related news, now that I have access to a program I'm comfortable with, I'm open to the idea of doing art commissions. Since it's a new world for me, I don't know what would be fair to charge at the moment. I'm open to talking about it, so if the idea of me making something for you appeals, please drop me a line and we can hash something out.
In related news, I've started a Ko-fi account. I had been thinking about starting a Patreon, and I may still at some point, but Ko-fi looks like it might serve my purposes better. I'm just starting to organize it but I'm excited to get my page there and here cleaned up. Here is a link if you would like to check it out.
That's all I got for now. If you have any thoughts on the kinds of things you might like to see moving forward, please let me know. There is an audio upload option on ko-fi that I find intriguing...
It's been a long, long time since I posted here. I've gotten a few messages recently asking about how I've been, which I really appreciate. It's nice to know people still keep me in mind. I figured I'd give an update for the curious.
First, the big question, am I working on any new sequences? Unfortunately, I'm not. My computer and scanner died a while back and with it, my copy of Photoshop 7. When I lost those, that kind of damaged my passion to draw. I've have recently dusted off my old sketch pad and started doodling again.
If you liked any of the little writing snippets I've written, you may be happy to hear that I have been writing again. I've got some interactive stories I've been chipping away at on other sites here and there when I can. I've got a few things planned that I've been writing in private that I hope to release once it's done in the next following months. In the meantime, I'd like to finish some of the other stories that I started so long ago. Since I have no idea what people like, let me know which one I should finish first?
Now for the personal life stuff. As you can imagine, a lot can happen in that time. Some good, some bad...
Bad: I lost most of my possessions and no way to compensate for the items. Unemployed and have been for a while. Free time has been devoted to either job searching or trying to learn code. Most of my old friendships have dried up or weren't as good as I thought.
Good: Moved in with my girlfriend and we just got a kitten! Got this cool laptop I'm writing this post on. I've lost 40lbs. I've started treatment for some anxiety/depression issues and I'm feeling much better than I have in a long while. Some might say...inspired. Best part, my interests aren't a secret to my girlfriend. She actually wants me to get back into making stuff.
It's been a mixed bag but there have been more good than bad. Thanks for sticking around and I hope to have something to share again sooner than later.
TLDR
Just started drawing again.
Trying to write more, want me to finish anything?
Life is complicated and I have no money but I'm in a better emotional place and feel inspired.
Y'all are great.
